Privacy Policy

The Short Version
I don't track you. No cookies, no analytics, no marketing pixels. This is just a blog. I'm not trying to sell you anything or build a profile on you.
The only data collected is basic server logs that Cloudflare (who hosts this site) keeps for security and performance. That's it.
What Data Gets Collected
Server Logs
When you visit this site, Cloudflare (our hosting provider) automatically logs:
- Your IP address
- What pages you visited
- When you visited
- What browser you're using
- Which site referred you here
This is standard web server stuff that every website collects. Cloudflare keeps these logs for about 30 days for security and debugging purposes. I don't personally access or analyze this data unless something breaks.
No Tracking Cookies
I don't use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any other tracking scripts. There are no marketing cookies. The only cookies you might see are from Cloudflare for security and load balancing - those are technically necessary for the site to work.
No Analytics
I don't track page views, time on site, scroll depth, or any of that stuff. I have no idea who's reading this or how they found it. Maybe that's bad marketing, but it's good privacy.
Third-Party Services
Cloudflare Pages
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. They handle the actual serving of content and provide DDoS protection, CDN services, etc.
Cloudflare has their own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
External Links
If you click a link to another website (like my LinkedIn profile), you're leaving this site and whatever happens there is between you and them. I can't control their privacy practices.
Your Rights (GDPR Stuff)
If you're in the EU, you have rights under GDPR. Since I barely collect any data, most of these don't really apply, but here they are:
- Right to access: You can ask what data I have about you (spoiler: probably nothing beyond Cloudflare's server logs)
- Right to deletion: You can ask me to delete your data (again, I don't really have any)
- Right to object: You can object to data processing (but there's nothing to object to)
- Right to portability: You can ask for your data in a readable format (not applicable here)
If you want to exercise any of these rights, reach out via LinkedIn. Response time: whenever I check my messages.
Changes to This Policy
If I decide to start tracking stuff (unlikely but possible), I'll update this page and probably mention it in a blog post. The "last updated" date at the top will change.
